About Alyssa Couture’s Episode

Today we’re talking to Alyssa Couture (also pronounced Couture, which is a french word for fashionable, custom clothing). Her name is only fitting as she’s a multi-faceted fashion designer and energy worker who now focuses on being an advocate for healthy fashion.

She says healthy fashion not only therapeutically supports the body, but it’s clothing that awakens the soul and spirit.

Alyssa is author of the book Healthy Fashion: The Deeper Truths, where she explains how we can go deeper into fashion as a holistic health practice that’s not only good for us, but is also good for the planet.

In today’s episode, we talk why humans are drawn to fashion, its many roles in our lives, and how, as an industry insider, Alyssa has observed humanity heading toward a healthier fashion already.

She breaks down for us all the ways in which fashion is connected to our holistic health, including our physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, and energetic bodies.

Then, we shift into learning about Alyssa’s background and life story, exploring everything from the influence of working on monasteries to how her spiritual awakening ties into the creation of her book.

If you love a little bit of mysticism combined with Jungian psychology, this episode is definitely for you.

We wrap up with advice for how you can start consuming healthier fashion, even while on a budget, and how as consumers, we can actively help shift the fashion industry to the healthier end of the spectrum.

While there’s plenty of tangible advice, you also get plenty of philosophical food for thought. The overarching take away you’ll leave this episode with is: all areas of our lives impact all other areas of our lives. Something as enjoyable as fashion (or perhaps as stressful as fashion, depending on who you are) is connected to what it means to be a human with and on planet Earth.
